Description:

Ground-up construction of OHSU’s seven floor Knight Cancer Research Building, including two levels of below grade/partial daylight parking. The structure is post-tension concrete through Level 6 with a steel structure above supported on pile caps over drilled shafts. The facade is comprised of metal panel and curtainwall. There is an outdoor promenade space at Level 1 that wraps the south, west and east ends of the building and a north patio. Levels P1 and P2 are comprised mostly of parking. Level 1 includes a large auditorium, lobbies and retail. Levels 2 through 5 are open tab spaces with large amounts of lab casework. Levels 6 and 7 are open office. Project size is approximately 308,000 gsf. New mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls and fire protection. Interior infill with metal stud and drywall walls, CMU walls and interior glass partitions. Finishes include casework, lab casework, wood doors, hollow metal doors and frames, decorative metal stairs, tile, polished concrete, ACT and linear wood ceilings, wood walls, acoustical wall panels, auditorium seating, carpet floor, rubber floor, fluid applied flooring, paint, lockers and food service equipment, 5 elevators. The site includes shoring, landscaping and site improvements. Bid Package #3B scope includes: precast concrete base to support site guardrail, miscellaneous landscape and site steel, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, casework, countertops, traffic coatings, caulking, access doors, drywall and framing, tile work, ceilings, carpet/resilient flooring, painting, epoxy flooring, signage, toilet partitions and accessories, wall protection, visual display systems, lockers, bike racks, parking control equipment, residential appliances, food service equipment, striping and parking bumpers, window treatments, site furnishings, wheelchair lift, site concrete, and landscape and irrigation.
